Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Sprachmine is a free German language practice platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Usage analytics — page views, navigation events, and game interactions. Collected anonymously via Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics (GA4). No personal identifiers are attached.
- Feedback messages — if you submit feedback through the feedback widget, the message text and the page you were on are stored. No name or email is required.
- Leaderboard entries — if you submit a score to the leaderboard, the name you enter and your score are stored. Use any name you like; we recommend not using your real name.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts, passwords, or email addresses.
- No payment information — Sprachmine is entirely free.
- No precise location data.
- No data is sold or shared with advertisers.
Third-party services
- Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — collects anonymised usage data. See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Vercel (hosting) — the platform that serves this site. Standard server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) are retained briefly by Vercel for operational purposes.
Cookies and local storage
Sprachmine does not use cookies for tracking. Google Analytics may set a cookie to distinguish sessions. No persistent identifiers are stored in local storage by us.
Data retention
Feedback messages and leaderboard entries are retained until manually deleted. Analytics data is governed by the retention settings of Vercel and Google Analytics respectively.
Your rights
If you submitted feedback or a leaderboard entry and would like it removed, use the feedback widget on any page to request deletion. We will action it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
